2000-01-14 11:10:36 I have to talk about something, but it's very hush hush and on the e.l. because it's wierd to talk about. There's this person who has a website and in fact a diary right here at diaryland. I always write "dairyland." milk. Anyways, this person lives in a certain area of the country where one of my best friends live. And a few weeks ago I noticed that the diary person was mentioning bars and people in their diary that I also recognized from hearing my personal friend talk about. So I told my friend about the diary person, and my friend was totally wierded out, because it seems like they're living parallel lives. Like my friend will go to a certain bar in this area of the country, and the next day there will be a diary entry from the diary person, talking about what *they* did at this same bar in this same part of the country. And it keeps on happening. So I told my friend to keep their eyes peeled and try to spot the diary person actually at the certain bar. And last night my friend *did* see the diary person, and not only that, but my friend saw the diary person hugging someone who my friend knew from college!!! It's a funny old world. We want to contact this diary person, just go up and say "Hi!" or email them or something, and tell them about all the wierdness, but how do you do that without sounding like a complete stalker? "Hi I've been reading your diary every day for 3 months and I recognized some of the places you mentioned in it, and so I've been looking around for you to hope we'd bump into each other, and here we are! How about that! Can I purchase you a beverage?" I think that would not go over well. But the diary person needs to know!! They need to know that they have fans and that they are making a connection to other people!! They need to know that it's a funny old world. I wish someone had some advice for me. If only people would read this and email me. That is all for now. k |
