2000-01-28 16:03:28 I'm puuuuuuling my hair out over redesigning my website. Why is it such a big deal? why do I even care? I think I average about 2 hits a month. and that's FINE, because it's really just for me anyway. I think webrings are too ugly to join. do people still really use those? like I know they join them, but do you, joe q. visitor, see a link for a webring on a site and press "next?" i never ever do. even in my early days of web design, i joined a few but still never did any clicking of the next or the last or the random. anyways, my point. who cares what the hell my stupid site looks like? not anyone. yet for some reason I keep throwing out sketches and starting over. all's I know is I want is extra extra simple, and I want it to have more to do with photography then graphics. so there. it's hectic, having not skills or sense of design. I just know what I like when I see it. I'm not good at making things pretty on purpose. does anyone have this gooey thing? I heard about it from this pita, which seems to be a very nice one. so this gooey thing, it's like a kinda souped up AIM/GAIM. you browse around and you can see what other people who have gooey installed are also browsing the same site as you. it's pretty interesting. for some reason tons of people hang out at yahoo.com. and also google. odd, that. but so anyways, i downloaded it out of curiousity. no dairylanders seemed to have it loaded. but it's NOT that I wanted to chat with random strangers. I am very much opposed to that. I extremely shy, even when the person can't actually see me. I've never been in a chat room or anything, even. yes I'm *sure* I'm missing out. but I guess what i LIKE is that it's like spying on other people, and I can see a list of people who I COULD chat with if and when I so desired. not that that will ever happen. I'm sure I'll try it out a few days and then never turn it on again. unless unless some of my AIM friends download it to and then we decide to go out site-browsing together. hmmm. it could be the new version of club-hopping. you don't even have to leave your room. just agree to meet your friends at a specific website at a certain time, then you can all browse around... "ewww, look at that broken image! WHAT was she thinking?" "if I had hair like that, I'd write crappy poetry to." "holy moly! someone's selling limp bizkit tickets on ebay!" "no way!" "yes way!" ...aaaaaaand so forth. also one more thing. that freespeak diary isn't very interesting, and it reminds me of how metababy started off as a really cool idea then got really boring. and the new version of metababy was supposed to be out today, but I keep visiting out of curiousity and it's not yet. but that's ok. there's always later. k thank you very much & credits music: |
