2000-03-09 15:23:05 I think spring has gotten the better of us, and there will be not much in the way of Doing Work today. I got here at 1130, then took a field trip to a friend's house to pick up some stuff. We drove to Cambridge, got to his house, and realized that we had no keys to get in. So one of us, not me, because I'm not that way, broke in by climbing up the fire escape to the 3rd floor, jumping down to the landing outside of the 2nd floor bathroom, and jimmying open the window. Then the stuff we had to move back to the office turned out to be stereo equipment, which didn't strike me as odd until we were carrying it out to the car and some guys were looking at us and I thought "Hmmm... Broke in. Removing stereo equipment. Maybe this looks suspicious..." Anyways, that was that. Then after lunch the entire office decided to go ice cream hopping on newbury street. I hate newbury street, but there is lots of good ice cream there. so I had a sundae. So that's the day so far. Also, St. Paddy's day is coming up, which is a big deal, particularly in Boston. But really, I prefer Cinco de Mayo as a holiday. It's margaritas versus green beer. The beer will lose every year. Also. What is up with these TOTAL FUCKERS, "scientists" they call themselves who have written this book claims that rape is a natural product of evolution. Apparently, everyone please correct me if I'm wrong, but apparently they think that rape has nothing to do with violence and power and hate and has to do with males who would otherwise be rejected as mates increasing their reproductive chances. THAT IS FUCKING IRRITATING. only ugly men rape? I hadn't heard that. And they go on to say that if women dressed more conservatively then they wouldn't get raped. I DO NOT WANT PEOPLE LIKE THAT ON MY PLANET. here's a link to the article, I'm not sure how long it'll be there though. k |
