2000-05-31 17:47:42 yo! back in action! here's the quick wrap up on ymi & jo-e's diaryland tour o' love 2000: malice writes the best directions ever. found her pad no prob. she totally rocks. no question. she took us to a lovely lovely place for a very late lunch (very late because we SUCK and got lost trying to leave boston. oh well.) but we had a super cool fun time hanging out and chatting about the great space coaster and all kinds of neat stuff. plus there's a bunch of cats in her apartment and the WRESTLE! it was the coolest thing i've ever seen in my entire life, hands down no question. like they sort of come up to each other and try to stare each other down like "whatchoo lookin at, yo???" "whatCHOO looking at???" then WHAM one of them leaps up in the air and pounces down on the other and there's a total scrambly tangle and all kinds of tail-over-ears action. awesome stuff. no one gets hurt really, it's all for fun. for play for show. so cool. i wish there were movies of it on the Inter Net. anyways we had fun. then we kept on to dc and saw cheryl and her roomie and bud parker. cheryl's directions were iffy at best, but we found her place ok anyway (sort of by accident, but whatev.) and we had a very nice time hanging out, drinking a beer and some mimosas, etc. plus they took us to a nice brunch place. it's always a good time with cheryl, that is for damn sure. then then then then then we got to VA the next time, domain of cnnlly and skeezix. SO much fun. played LOTS of boggle, tried to do a puzzle but got almost none of it done, roasted veggie on the grill (my first experience as an adult near a barbecue! it was neat. you don't start cooking right away. you let it get all ashy. oh ho.) plus we also ate at el charro which my soul always yearns for up here in the el charro-less north. yum-to-the-fudge-my. also we saw mission impossible which i really really really liked. i know the plot was lame and the acting was sucky and thandie newton's character and the shit she had to do that movie was totally, like, let's not even talk about it, but the action scenes were sooooooo good. plus i got all excitemacated in advance b/c it said in the paper "stadium seating." and i was like "stadium seating? whazzat?" and they were like, oh it's cool, you don't have that in boston? you have to check it out. so i got all excited. but guess what, it's not that exciting. it's nothing like being in an actual stadium. i was expecting some big cavernous imax type deal. not like that. in fact there is stadium seating, pretty much, in harvard square. i wonder if it's called that and I never noticed. i missed my mp3s a lot a lot. also: i did not have a chance to test out my new theory this weekend: mustard on pizza. i think that would be really really really really good. k thank you very much & credits music: |
