2011-10-13 8:34 p.m. D: Okay, let's do this. You are in your house, which is sparsely furnished. You are sitting on your bed. There is a desk where you have some candles that are all melty from years of trying to read by candlelight at that desk. You have a wax seal and a couple quills and some ink. There's a chair and also another chair. The walls are wood. Your sword is by the front door. A: D: Okay, you've picked up your sword. You are looking for adventure or whatever comes your way. A: D: Maybe they're lyrics, I don't know. That's not important. Let's stay focused. Outside waiting for you are a group of old men. These are the village elders and they have gotten up early and are dressed in their best robes, leaning on their best staves. A: D: Like sticks. Fancy sticks. Plural form of "staff." A: D: You don't have one, you have a sword. And they tell you that they've been having problems. The whole VILLAGE has been having problems. Something has been coming out of the woods and eating the cattle. A: D: They say it's been happening at night. A: D: Well, it's night now for us, sure, but in the game it's morning. You just woke up. A: D: I don't know when our parents are coming back. Maybe never. Don't you think that you should work on becoming a great adventurer while they're gone? Then, if they DO come back, they'll be proud of how you saved the village's cattle. And if they don't, you'll be ready for anything, because of all the adventuring you did. A: D: Look, let's table the parents talk, all right? And before you ask, it means "we'll talk about it later." For now, you need to decide how you want to get ready for tonight. A: D: In the game. A: D: You are very lucky that I am a patient person. |
